Expiring contracts
Find Latvian public contracts that are ending soon, scored for relevance to your organization.
The Expiring contracts tab lists Latvian public contracts whose end date is coming up. A contract nearing its end is often a lead on a future retender, sometimes well before any new notice is published.
Views
The buttons above the filters switch between views. Each shows how many contracts it holds.
| View | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Relevant | Contracts scored at or above your High relevance threshold. The default view once your CPV codes are set. |
| Following | Contracts you starred, including ones outside the period you're currently filtering by and ones that ended early. |
| All | Every contract in the current period, including ones below your relevance threshold. Contracts that ended early are left out. |
| Dismissed | Contracts you dismissed that end in the current period. |
Dismissed contracts appear only in Dismissed. Following ignores the end-date filter, so a contract you follow stays listed there even after it falls outside the period you're looking at.
Filtering
- Search - by subject, buyer or incumbent supplier.
- Ends - next 3, 6, 12 (default) or 24 months, or a custom date range.
- No recorded end date - a separate list, sorted by when the contract was signed, of contracts whose end date isn't in the public record at all. Open it from the Ends filter or from the link in the status line above the list.
- Relevance - all, medium and high, or high only. High starts at your Top band from and medium at your Middle band from, both set under Thresholds.
- Value - any, under €50,000, €50,000 – €500,000, or over €500,000.
Click the Ends or Relevance column header to sort the list by it.
Clicking a row's CPV code narrows the list to that code and the codes under it. On the contract page, other contracts next to the incumbent and Other expiring contracts of this buyer open All for the next 24 months, narrowed to that supplier or buyer. Each filter shows as a removable pill.
What the end date means
The Ends column shows how many months away the end date is, and a short note underneath when there's something worth knowing about it:
- Amended: was <date> / Set by an amendment - the most recent amendment changed the end date (or set it, when the original contract itself isn't in the public record).
- Calculated from start and duration - no end date is stated anywhere; it's estimated from the start date and the duration published with the tender.
- Sources disagree - shown as a date range from the earliest to the latest end date: the procurement record and the contract notices for the contract's lots give different end dates. A notice date that matches an end date the contract stated earlier doesn't count as a disagreement. The contract is listed when any part of the range falls in your period. It is sorted by its earlier date, or by its later date once the earlier one is before your period.
- May be extended once / up to N times - the notice allows renewals. This doesn't mean a renewal was actually used.
- Terminated - the contract, or all of its lots, ended early. Such contracts show only in Following and Dismissed, and on the contract page.
A dash under Relevance means the contract has no score for your current settings: it hasn't been scored yet, it is outside what gets scored (see Relevance scoring), or scoring failed for it several times.
A contract for some lots of a multi-lot procurement shows its lot numbers next to the buyer (for example Lot 2, 3), so contracts from the same procurement can be told apart.
Following and dismissing
- Follow - click the star on a row or on the contract page. The contract appears in Following. Click the star again to unfollow it.
- Dismiss - click the cross on a row or on the contract page. The contract moves to Dismissed, with Undo available there.
Relevance scoring
Relevance (0-100) uses your CPV codes and the services set up under Find tenders settings - the same settings the Matched for you tab uses. A contract is scored only when:
- your selection settings are saved, with CPV codes and a country filter that is empty or includes Latvia
- its CPV code matches one of yours
- it ends within the next 24 months and has not ended early
Scores are updated after each refresh of the public contract data. If you change your CPV codes or countries, scores for contracts outside the new selection are hidden, and contracts that come into it are scored on the next refresh. If the AI service is unavailable, scoring stops and tries the remaining contracts again on the next refresh. Scoring does not use credits.
An end date here is not a retender date - the buyer may run a different process, or none at all. Contracts can also be missing from the public record even when still active. Expiring contracts currently covers Latvia only.
