Credits and pricing
How the credit system works, what things cost, and how to purchase more.
Everything runs on credits. You buy credits upfront, and each analysis deducts from your balance.
Pricing
Price per credit: 6 EUR
Purchase options:
- Minimum: 5 credits (30 EUR)
- Maximum: 500 credits (3,000 EUR)
- Pay by credit or debit card through Stripe in the app — credits are added right away
- Or pay by bank transfer against an invoice — email support@mitigate.dev; credits are added once the payment arrives
Credits are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase.
What costs credits
Anything that uses an AI agent costs credits. That covers:
- Bid analysis (single and batch)
- RFP requirement extraction — reads your RFP and builds the structured requirement list that feeds your preparation checklist and evaluation criteria
- Item extraction — reads the technical specification and builds the list of products and services the procurement is buying
- RFP quality review and RFP integrity check
- Composing an RFP — including the optional setup interview, the composition pass itself, and any revision rounds
- Composing a bid — setup interview, composition, and the validation pass
- Market research and Funding research runs — including market research started from a procurement's items, which prices every distinct product
Each run is charged based on the actual AI model usage of the run: what the models it used cost to process your documents, converted to credits. A run that used the AI costs at least 0.01 credits. If a model has no price list entry, the charge is estimated from the amount of text processed instead.
Cost depends on the workload and on the AI provider:
| Factor | Impact on cost |
|---|---|
| AI provider and model | Providers and models are priced differently, so the provider you choose for a run affects its charge |
| Number of document pages | More pages = more reading = more credits |
| Number of evaluation criteria | Each criterion requires extraction and evaluation |
| Number of lots | Multi-lot analysis with per-lot criteria uses the most |
| Verification depth | Critical/major findings get double-checked |
| Composition mode | Autopilot is cheapest; guided pauses more often, which adds turns |
| Number of artifacts | Bid composition cost scales with how many sections the plan has |
| Revision rounds | Bid composition allows up to one revision round; running it adds to cost |
| Research scope | Broader briefs and more agent iterations consume more |
| Distinct products | Market research inside a procurement prices each distinct product once; more products mean more pages opened and read |
If a run uses your organization's own OpenRouter profile, OpenRouter bills your organization for the model usage directly. Tendergate then charges credits for a fee of 10% of the cost OpenRouter reports for the run.
Typical costs
| Scenario | Approximate credits |
|---|---|
| Quick bid analysis, small procurement (30–50 pages, no criteria) | 1–3 |
| Standard bid analysis (100–200 pages, 10 criteria, a few bids) | 5–10 |
| Large bid analysis (500+ pages, 20 criteria, lots, multiple bids) | 10–30 |
| RFP quality review (typical RFP) | 1–3 |
| RFP integrity check | 1–3 |
| RFP composition (autopilot, mid-sized RFP) | 5–15 |
| Bid composition (typical, 8–12 artifacts, autopilot + validator) | 10–25 |
| Bid composition revision round | 3–8 |
| Market research run | 0.5–1.0 |
| Funding research run | 0.7–1.5 |
These are estimates. Costs vary by AI provider: the same run can cost more or less depending on the provider you choose. Actual cost depends on document content and how much work the AI needs to do. Every run shows the exact charge in the run summary after completion.
Market research started from a procurement's items has no estimate up front. The confirmation page shows the scope instead — how many approved items and distinct products the run will price — and the run is billed at completion by what it actually did. A failed run costs nothing.
What's free
- Creating procurements and bids
- Uploading and parsing documents
- Configuring criteria and lots
- Reviewing, approving, editing, and adding items
- The supplier register
- Viewing results, comparisons, and validator reports
- Exporting to Excel
- Using the AI chat
- Adding organization members
- The preparation checklist (it's synced automatically from your extracted RFP requirements — the cost sits in requirement extraction, not the checklist)
- Evaluation schemes and the bid-package ZIP export
- Approving or editing a compose plan (the setup interview itself does cost credits, but reviewing the produced plan is free)
You only spend credits when you launch an AI run — Analyze, Run Quality Check, Start RFP composition, Approve plan (which kicks off bid composition), and so on.
Checking your balance
Your credit balance is always visible in the top bar. It updates in real time when an analysis completes.
Purchasing credits
Click the Buy button in the top bar or open your credit history and click Buy. You'll be taken to a Stripe checkout page where you can pay by card.
During checkout, Stripe will ask for your billing address and optionally your VAT number. After payment, credits are added to your organization's balance immediately.
VAT and tax
Tendergate is operated by SIA Mitigate, a VAT-registered company in Latvia. VAT is calculated automatically at checkout based on your location:
| Buyer | VAT treatment |
|---|---|
| Latvian company | 21% LV VAT applied |
| EU company with valid VAT ID | 0% (reverse charge) |
| Non-EU company | 0% (outside scope) |
To receive the reverse charge (0% VAT), check "I'm purchasing as a business" during checkout and enter your EU VAT registration number. Stripe validates it automatically.
Prices shown in the app (6 EUR/credit) are net prices. VAT is added on top at checkout where applicable.
Invoices
An invoice is automatically generated for every credit purchase. Stripe sends the invoice to the email address used during checkout.
To view past invoices, download receipts, or update your billing information, open the user menu (top-right corner) and click Manage billing & invoices. This opens the Stripe billing portal where you can:
- View and download all past invoices as PDF
- Update your billing address and VAT number
- Manage payment methods
The billing portal link appears after your first purchase. Each organization has its own billing history — switch organizations to see invoices for a different company.
Credit history
You can see all your credit transactions — purchases, usage per run, and any refunds. Click on your credit balance in the top bar to open the credit history. For each run charge, the Provider column shows the AI provider the run ran on.
Saving credits
A few practical tips:
- Set up criteria before analysis, not after. Adding criteria and re-running doubles the cost.
- Clean up documents. If a 400-page submission includes 200 pages of appendices that aren't relevant, removing them saves credits.
- Don't re-run unnecessarily. If one finding seems off, check the evidence before re-running the entire analysis.
- Use batch analysis wisely. Analyzing 10 bids is 10x the cost, so make sure your documents are ready before starting.
Refunds
If an analysis failed due to a system error (not a document quality issue), contact support. We'll review what happened and issue credits back if appropriate.
Credits used for completed analyses are non-refundable, even if the results weren't what you expected. This is why we recommend preparing your documents properly and setting up criteria before running analysis.
If you're unsure how many credits you'll need, start with the minimum purchase (5 credits) and run one analysis to see how your specific documents perform. You can always buy more.
